Easter at Crail, 22 vans had a competitive weekend. How so I hear you ask? There was Card games and Mystery Parcel competitions run by Robert, good man, will make a fine chairman if Tom ever retires. There was Dingbats run by Cath and won by a Chairman Tom’s Team, who never cheat, I suppose you have got to let the chairman win now and again. Old Scoop has never played Dingbats, they have all the good games when I’m no there. Then there was the Sunburn competition on the Sunday, won easily by Tom (red as a beetroot) McGraw who with his aggressive determination to win ended up with sunstroke, some folk will go to any lengths for a prize. Not forgetting Forbes’s Bingo, always a nerve jangler for the big guy. And then “the find the best fish supper” competition, won by anyone who got there tea from the Wee Chippy in Anstruther, I think Bill and Marlene went back for seconds just to be sure it was the best.

Well done to all our winners.

Welcome to new members Alan and Pat Aspinall from Aberdeen, haste ye back. And nice to see visitors from Northern Counties, Anglia and South Wales groups, glad you joined us.

And wee Val out of the Hospital, take it easy and don’t be living such a hectic lifestyle, all they raves and discos are a bit too much are our age, think of Tom’s bad back. We are a canine friendly club with no less than

 12 dogs in attendance.

18 Vans, all Scottish found their way to Bridge of Allen, some rain and even hail stones but not enough to put a damper on a great weekend. When the sun shone it was glorious. Paddy flung the horseshoes about like a wuman possessed and Brian Vitesse played Boules like a Frenchman to win the prizes. Hosting was taken to a new level of excellence with home baking by Barbara, not just once but twice the cakes appeared, (there was no cakes on offer when Scoop visited Barbara’s Van, kept for special visitors no doubt) and a superb quiz from Stuart who had a senior moment and forgot to bring the answers but Rob and Pauline did well to finish top and were double gold medal winners guessing the contents of the feelie bags as well. Thanks to our hosts for a great weekend.
